How to Login Coinbase account【PC】

1. Go to mobile Coinbase App or Website.
2. Click on “Sign in” in the upper right corner.
3. Enter your "Email" and "Password".
4. Click on “SIGN IN” button.
5. If you forgot password, click on “Forgot Password”.

On the Log-in page, enter your [Email] and password that you specified during registration. Click "SIGN IN" button.

After that you have to enter the verification code from your device.

After entering correct verification code, you can successfully use your Coinbase account to trade.

Open the Coinbase App you downloaded, then click on "Sign in" to go to the log-in page.

If you lost access to the email address you used to create your Coinbase account, well need to go through a few steps to help you access your account.

Before you start, you will need the following:

• The password associated with your Coinbase account
• Access to your 2-step verification method
• Access to the verified phone number on your Coinbase account

Regain access to your account

First, go to the account access page and follow these steps to update your email address (you must have 2-step verification for these steps to work):

1. Sign in using your previous email address and password
2. Enter your 2-step verification token
3. Select I no longer have access to my email address when you are prompted to verify your new device
4. Enter your new email address—well send you an email to this account
5. Confirm your new email address by selecting the blue button in the email you received
6. Enter your 2-step verification code as you normally would
7. Select your ID type

• Please note for US customers, we only accept valid state drivers licenses at this time

Youll need to get in touch with Coinbase Support to regain access to your account. Do this by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting Contact us.


When will this process complete?

The account recovery process usually takes 48 hours to complete but can sometimes take longer. After 24 hours, you should be able to sign in to your account and complete buys and sells. After 48 hours, you should have full trading capabilities restored. For your security, sends will be disabled on your account until the full security period has passed. If you sign in before the security period is complete, you’ll receive a pop-up notification informing you that sends are temporarily disabled.

If you are unable to access your phone number on file (or your account does not have 2-step verification enabled), then it will not be possible to update your email address. Please contact Coinbase Support if this is the case.

Reset my password

I cant remember my password

If you forget your password, please follow these steps to reset it:

1. Visit the Login page, click "Forgot Password?"

2. Enter the email address associated to your Coinbase account and select "RESET PASSWORD" to receive an email.

3. From the email, select Reset password to open a window where youll enter a new password. If you run into trouble, please see the next section for help.

4. Enter your new password in the Choose A Password and Confirm Password fields, then select UPDATE PASSWORD.

5. You can now sign in with your new password.

Why cant I reset my password?

Coinbase takes a number of steps to ensure the security of our customers accounts. These include enforcing strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and device verification.

When a customer attempts to reset their password, we take precautions to ensure that it is a legitimate request. This means that our customers may only reset their passwords from devices they have previously verified, or from locations they have previously logged in from. This requirement provides a safeguard against attempts to illegitimately reset your password.

If you are having trouble resetting your password, you will need to:

1. Reset it from a device you have previously used to access Coinbase.
2. Reset it from a location (IP address) youve previously used to access Coinbase.

As a security precaution, if you reset your password from a new device, you won’t be able to send crypto from your account for up to 48 hours. To avoid this send restriction, request a password reset from a previously authorized device.

If you no longer have access to a previously validated device or IP address, please contact Coinbase Support so we can have a member of our security team assist you with a password reset.

Important: Coinbase Support will NEVER ask for your account password or 2-step verification codes.

Why will my password reset require 24 hours to process?

As noted above, Coinbase only processes password reset requests from devices that have been previously authorized to access your account. If you are resetting your password from a new device, our system may delay the processing time for 24 hours in the interest of keeping your account secure. This can be bypassed by resetting your password from a previously verified device.

Note: If you do not have a previously authorized device, please do not make additional attempts to log in. Each new attempt resets the clock and will prolong the delay.

To prevent fraud and to make any account-related changes, Coinbase will ask you to verify your identity from time-to-time. We also ask you to verify your identity to ensure no one but you changes your payment information.

As part of our commitment to remain the most trusted cryptocurrency platform, all Identification Documents must be verified through the Coinbase website or mobile app. We do not accept emailed copies of your identity documents for verification purposes.

I need to correct or update my profile

Go to your Settings - Profile page to update your residential address and display name or correct your date of birth.

I need to change my legal name and country of residence

Sign into your Coinbase account and go to your Profile page to change your personal information.

Note that changing your legal name and country of residence requires you to update your ID document. If you’re changing your country of residence, you’ll need to upload a valid ID from the country you are currently residing.

• Your phone’s camera typically produces the clearest photo
• Make sure your area is well-lit (natural light works best)
• Use indirect light for your ID to avoid glare
• If you must use a webcam, try setting the ID flat down and move the webcam instead of moving the ID
• Use a plain background for the ID
• Don’t hold the ID in your fingers (confuses the focusing lens)
• Clear your browser cache, restart the browser, and try again
• Wait 30 minutes between attempts

Taking a "selfie" photo of your face

This may be required for account recovery if you lose your 2-step verification device or additional security is required for an action you are trying to perform.

• Use the latest version of Google Chrome browser
• Face the camera directly and include your shoulders to the top of your head
• Have a plain wall as a background
• Use indirect light for your ID to avoid glare and no backlight
• Do not wear sunglasses or a hat
• If you were wearing glasses in your ID photo, try wearing them in your selfie photo
• Clear your browser cache, restart the browser, and try again
• Wait 30 minutes between attempts

iOS and Android

1. Tap icon below
2. Select Profile Settings.
3. Tap Enable send and receive at the top. If the option is not available, go to the Coinbase document verification page.
4. Select your document type.
5. Follow the prompts to upload your ID document.
6. Once the steps are completed, the identity verification process is complete.

Verify your phone number on the mobile app

2. Select Profile Settings.
3. Under Accounts, tap Phone Numbers.
4. Select Verify a new phone number.
5. Enter your phone number then tap Next.
6. Enter the verification code sent to your phone.

Why am I unable to upload my ID?

Why isnt my document being accepted?

There are a few reasons why our verification provider may be unable to process your request. Here are a few tips to help complete this step.

• Ensure that your document is valid. We are unable to accept an upload of an expired ID.
• Ensure your identification document is in a well lit area without much glare.
• Photograph the entire document, try to avoid cutting off any corners or sides.
• If having trouble with the camera on a desktop or laptop computer, try installing our iOS or Android app on your cell phone. You can use the mobile app to complete the ID verification step using your phones camera. The Identity Verification section can be found under Settings in the app.
• Trying to upload a US passport? At this time, we only accept US state-issued ID such as a Drivers License or Identification Card. We are unable to accept US passports due to the lack of indication of what state you reside in.
• For customers outside of the US, we are unable to accept scanned or otherwise saved image files at this time. If you do not have a webcam on your computer, the mobile app can be used to complete this step.

Can I send a copy of my document by email instead?

For your security, do not to send us or anyone else a copy of your ID via email. We will not accept such as a means of completing the identity verification process. All uploads must be completed via our secure verification portal.
